Corporal William M. Scott was born on 18 July 1941 in Chattanooga, TN. Morris, as he was known, enlisted in Company D, 16th Special Forces Group, RIARNG on 10 March 1965. He served as a Supply/Armorer specialist. In 1969, he transferred from Company D, 19th Special Forces Group to the 107th Signal Company RIARNG for the duration of his enlistment. Morris was the brother of Major Larry Scott. He died on 23 June 2007.
