SGT Stephen E. Worthington


 

Sergeant Stephen Eric Worthington, 22, of Attleboro Falls, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Born on January 19, 1996 in Arlington, VA, he was the beloved son of Eric A. Worthington and Barbara L. (Kaufman) Worthington of Attleboro Falls.

A graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 2014, he received his Associate Degree from Bristol Community College. He was employed as a Cardiac EMT for Alert Ambulance Service. He was a true Star Wars enthusiast. His smile and love of life will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

In 2014 he enlisted in the US Army Reserve.  He received his Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  He completed the Healthcare Specialist Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  In August 2017, he enlisted in Company A, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) RIARNG as a Special Forces Candidate.  He was posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant and awarded the Army Achievement Medal.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his dear siblings: Joel N. Worthington of Attleboro Falls; Michael A. Worthington and his wife, Nicole J. (Jimenez) Worthington, of Cambridge, MA; Neal E. Worthington of Attleboro Falls; and Joy A. Worthington of Attleboro Falls. He leaves his paternal grandmother, Frances I. Worthington, of Oxford, MA, his aunts, uncles, and cousins
